The Ole Rona

How have you adapted to the changes brought on by the Covid-19 pandemic?

I almost feel guilty and ashamed for admitting it but I haven’t really adapted to the challenges brought upon me by The Rona. I’m continuing to make progress, yet I long for the good ole days of yore. One could say I have finally accepted the fact that life will never be the same.

Acceptance of this new reality doesn’t mean I like it. Nor does it mean I’m used to it. The shopping experience just isn’t the same with other customers present. There’s nothing like having the entire store to yourself. Venturing down every aisle with complete freedom is vastly underrated. Sure there are times a pause or hesitation is required but the worker bees restocking shelves quickly get out of the way or gladly offer to help. The convenience of filling one cart with non perishables and leaving it at the register while going back to fill another with refrigerated items is sorely missed.

Aside from a lack of concerts or shows to attend and the potential for supply chain issues down the line. I did have to wear a mask like five times but the Rona basically only had a single impact on my life. Walmart became a store that is 24/7 no more. My midnight trips every month or two are a thing of the past. 😭😭😭

When compared to basically every other human, I know I’m fortunate and probably shouldn’t bitch. A less convenient grocery experience doesn’t even compared to the many and drastic impacts all of you were forced to endure. It’s just the only two cents I have to offer as it relates to the subject. My life is basically the exact same as it was before, during, and since Covid graced us with it’s presence. #sorrynotsorry
